Turn ONE 1000W HPS magnetic ballast into TWO SunPulse 600W lamps.
Growers suffer from excessive energy consumption and too much heat in the grow-room. The lights heat the room and then growers pay money to cool the room. The SunPulse Splitter brings a new solution for these specific problems. Use a single 1000W HPS magnetic coil/core ballast to drive two 600W SunPulse Lamps whether in the same room or not. Watch your electric bills go down along with your total cost of operations.
Less power and less heat.
Coil/core magnetic ballasts are load dependent, this means your input voltage controls the output voltage to the lamp. They are an unregulated system with no constant output, your power company controls that depending on where you live and the time of day. Australian wall voltage varies from 210V to 265V.
A single 1000W lamp on a HPS coil/core ballast is 994W @ lamp power factor 0.811, when you run two SunPulse 600W 3,000 kelvin lamps the power factor goes up to 0.901 on the same ballast. SunPulse lamps run cooler than HPS lamps so they can be placed closer to plants, effectively generating more usuable full spectrum light with lower leaf surface temperatures.
Remember the inverse square law for light; The source is described by a general "source strength" because there are many ways to characterize a light source - by power in watts, power in the visible range, power factored by the eye's sensitivity, etc. For any such description of the source, if you have determined the amount of light per unit area reaching 1 meter, then it will be one fourth as much at 2 meters.
Moving HPS lamps away from growing plants because of heat (indicated by burning or bleaching of leaf surface) means you are greatly limiting the amount of usuable light for photosynsthesis. (1/4 as much at 2 metres) Excess heat is inefficient use of power and creates stress in all living things. Use less power & generate more full spectrum light with less heat that can be placed closer to growing plants.
The Splitter can also operate two lamps in different spaces, one x 600W 3,000K for flowering and one x 600W 6,400K for vegetative growth from one 1000W HPS magnetic coil/core ballast.
Not to be used with any electronic/digital ballast, HPS magnetic coil/core ballasts only.
Use SunPulse brand lamps only in the SunPulse Splitter. They have been designed to achieve full spectrum UVA UVB & Infra-red light from a HPS reactor ignitor ballast. Something HPS lamps cannot do. Your plants will thrive under full spectrum light.
